The Data Center Technician Position

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Technical Duties

  • Install server racks and cabinets, ensuring proper alignment and anchoring.
  • Route and secure high-density cabling within racks, overhead trays, and under-floor systems.
  • Mount and connect power distribution units (PDUs) and manage cable pathways for an organized setup.
  • Perform advanced cable testing and labeling using industry-standard tools and techniques.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network switches and routers within the data center.
  • Implement and manage cooling solutions to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Safety Protocols

Required Experience & Skills

Experience and Expertise

Certifications

  • CompTIA A+ or Network+
