Job Description: Data Center Cable Technician

Core Requirements
Qualifications
- Preferred BICSI Installer 1 certification.
- Experience with structured cabling systems, especially Cat 6/6A.
- Proficient in cable termination techniques and testing procedures.
- Strong understanding of cable management best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret network drawings.
- Experience with labeling systems and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of network hardware.
Responsibilities
- Install and dress Category 6/6A cabling systems and terminate copper and fiber connections.
- Maintain proper cable management in server racks and install overhead cable tray and ladder rack.
- Perform cable testing and certification, documenting test results and warranties.
- Adhere to clean room protocols and organize patch panel layouts.
- Implement proper cable routing and separation, assisting with fiber trunk installation.
- Maintain detailed labeling systems.
Preferred Experience
- 1-3 years of electrical experience is advantageous.
Compensation
- Competitive salary range: $25.36-$33.38 per hour, based on experience.
