Data Center Rack & Stack Technician at Staley Technologies
Position Overview
Staley Technologies seeks a skilled Data Center Rack & Stack Technician to join our dynamic team in Prineville, OR. This role involves operating within a cutting-edge edge data center environment and traveling within a 50-mile radius to support telecom providers, content delivery networks, and IoT services. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience and be comfortable working the second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server racks, network equipment, and related infrastructure.
- Perform routine inspections and monitoring of data center environments.
- Utilize PDUs, DCIM software, and cable management systems for efficient data center operations.
- Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues within the data center.
- Collaborate with a team of over 10 regional colleagues to enhance service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in data center or IT environments.
- Certifications: Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA), Certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP).
- Proficiency in using PDUs, DCIM software, and environmental monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of cable management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA Server+ certification.
- Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) certification.
- Familiarity with the latest edge computing trends in telecom and IoT sectors.
