Data Center Rack & Stack Technician at Staley Technologies
Position Overview
Join Staley Technologies as a Data Center Rack & Stack Technician in New Albany, OH, where you will play a critical role in supporting the infrastructure of cutting-edge edge data centers. Serve a diverse array of clients, including telecom providers, content delivery networks, and IoT services, ensuring the seamless operation and deployment of data center components. Work the second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, contributing to a dynamic team across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server racks and network equipment.
- Utilize comprehensive cable management systems for optimal organization and efficiency.
- Monitor and address environmental factors using advanced monitoring tools to maintain optimal data center conditions.
- Deploy and manage Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software for operational effectiveness.
- Coordinate with various project teams to meet deployment timelines and quality standards.
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance of Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in a data center environment.
- CDCDP and CompTIA Server+ certifications.
- Proficiency with DCIM software and cable management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel within a 30-mile radius of New Albany, OH.
Preferred Qualifications
- CDCP and DCCA certifications.
- Familiarity with the latest Environmental Monitoring technologies.
- Previous experience in edge data centers or similar environments.
