Your Daily Tasks as an Electrician

Installation of Electrical Systems

You’ll be responsible for the installation of commercial electrical systems, from switchgear and panels to transformers. Your day will often start with reviewing blueprints and plans, ensuring every detail is accounted for before you get to work.

Conduit Work and Wiring

Your tasks will include measuring, cutting, bending, and installing both EMT and rigid conduit with precision. You’ll pull and terminate wires within conduits and boxes, making sure that connections are secure and tidy. Installing and wiring lighting fixtures, outlets, and power circuits will also be a regular part of your day.

Troubleshooting and Testing

Using tools such as multimeters, you’ll perform testing and troubleshooting of circuits and electrical components. Solving complex problems efficiently is key, ensuring that all systems operate flawlessly.

Collaboration and Safety

What You Need to Be an Electrician

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years in the field as an Electrician is essential.
• Proficiency with conduit benders and power tools is a must.
• An in-depth knowledge of NEC codes to ensure compliance.
• The ability to work efficiently on lifts and scaffolding.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to handle on-the-spot problems.
