The Electrician Helper Position

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Being an Electrician Helper at Rex Moore Electric involves a dynamic and engaging set of daily tasks. You will assist with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring that all components are correctly placed and functioning efficiently. Core Electrician Helper Responsibilities

• Wire Management: Assist in pulling wires through conduits and organizing them efficiently to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Installation Support: Mount electrical boxes and fixtures, preparing and organizing materials for seamless installation processes.
• Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean job site, supporting tool maintenance, and helping licensed electricians with technical tasks.
• Advanced Technical Duties: Engage in troubleshooting electrical issues, assisting with the installation of complex electrical systems, and conducting preliminary testing of electrical circuits.
• Regional Project Specifics: Participate in regional infrastructure projects, including new construction in fast-growing areas like Brentwood and Pittsburg.
• Safety Protocols: Adhere to stringent safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA standards.

Required Experience & Skills

• Basic Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with hand tools such as pliers and screwdrivers, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Physical Stamina: Strong physical stamina to handle labor-intensive tasks and reliable work habits.
• Safety Awareness: A keen understanding of safety practices when handling electrical materials and equipment.
• Experience: 0-2 years minimum experience as an Electrician Helper.
• Certifications: Basic electrical training certification is preferred. CPR and First Aid certifications are advantageous.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of basic electrical principles and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Tools & Equipment

• Daily Tools: Use tools such as wire strippers, conduit benders, and multimeters.
