Fire Alarm Installer at Reliable Electric
Join our team at Reliable Electric as a Fire Alarm Installer in Baton Rouge, LA! We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic team, serving not only Baton Rouge but also surrounding areas such as Denham Springs, Prairieville, and Central. As a Fire Alarm Installer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems, ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients’ premises. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of fire safety systems in commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Install fire alarm devices, including initiating devices and notification appliances
- Pull wire and assist with system testing to ensure optimal operation
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and maintenance activities
- Help with troubleshooting and resolving system issues
- Participate in on-call rotation after training period
Required Qualifications
- Must understand fire alarm systems, initiating devices, and notification appliances
- Experience with Notifier, Simplex, or Edwards systems preferred
- NICET Level I certification preferred
- OSHA-10 and First Aid/CPR certifications required
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 standards
- Ability to read blueprints and understand basic electricity principles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- 1-3 years of experience in fire alarm work in a commercial setting
