Job Title: Voice & Data Technician

Prime Partners, a renowned name in the electrical industry, is seeking a competent and experienced Voice & Data Technician to join our team based in Roseville, CA. The role involves working on commercial projects, mainly new construction and big box retail. Our ideal candidate will also service surrounding cities including Citrus Heights, Rocklin, Folsom, and Antelope.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and electronic communication systems.
2. Support new construction and renovations involving voice, data, and video wiring.
3. Inspect and service electronic equipment, wiring, or fixtures.
4. Test circuits and components to isolate and diagnose malfunctions.
5. Coordinate with project managers and other trade personnel to ensure efficient operations.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment.
7. Troubleshoot system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network.
8. Evaluate and recommend modifications and upgrades to improve system performance.
9. Provide technical assistance to customers, explaining procedures, and answering inquiries.
10. Prepare and present detailed service reports.

Qualifications:

1. Have at least 2-3 years of experience in the electrical industry, focusing on voice and data systems.
2. An associate’s degree in electronics or a related field. A professional certification is a plus.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, equipment, codes, and safety procedures.
4. Familiarity with blueprints and technical diagrams.
5. Proficient in using testing devices such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in simple terms.

Requirements:

1. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
2. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
3. Must be willing to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
4. Availability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
5. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
