Job Description: Prime Partners is seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing voice, data, and electronic communications systems in commercial and big box retail environments. This position will focus on the electrical industry specifics for commercial work, mainly new construction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and maintain voice and data cabling systems in commercial buildings and big box retail environments.
2. Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication systems, including network and switch installations.
3. Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly.
4. Repair or replace faulty cabling, equipment, or devices.
5. Maintain a detailed record of the work performed and any issues encountered.
6. Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated.
7. Collaborate with team members, project managers, and other departments to ensure client needs are met.
8. Follow industry standards and comply with company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in voice and data cabling, preferably in the commercial or retail sector.
3. Good understanding of voice and data cabling systems, including Cat5, Cat6, and Fiber Optics.
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work in a team and independently.
6. In-depth knowledge of industry standards and city building codes.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.

Requirements:

1. Ability to climb ladders, use hand tools, and lift up to 50 pounds.
2. Must be willing to travel to job sites in Rancho Cucamonga and surrounding cities.
3. Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts when required.
4. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
