What Your Week Actually Looks Like

As a seasoned Security Alarm Installer with Prime Partners, I can tell you that no two weeks are the same, but that’s part of what makes this job exciting. You’ll be installing, programming, and testing security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems, primarily in commercial new construction settings. Each day, you’ll be running and terminating low-voltage wiring for alarm components, ensuring every connection is secure and meets our quality standards. Troubleshooting on-site is a major part of the job, as you’ll be tweaking systems to optimize performance.

We handle a variety of projects, from small retail spaces to large corporate offices. The team structure here is collaborative, with project managers, electricians, and other specialists working hand-in-hand to meet design specifications and deadlines. You’ll also have the opportunity to train end-users on operating their security systems, providing ongoing support which is crucial for customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To thrive at Prime Partners, you’ll need at least 2 years of experience with low-voltage security systems and wiring. Practical skills are more valued here than paper qualifications. You’ll be configuring and troubleshooting access control and surveillance systems regularly, so being a natural problem-solver is key. Your ability to effectively train clients will also distinguish you from others. Personality-wise, being patient, detail-oriented, and a team player will serve you well in this role.
