What You’ll Do as a Security Alarm Installer

As a Security Alarm Installer with Prime Partners, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding some of the most exciting new construction projects in Houston, TX, as well as projects in neighboring cities like Sugar Land, Pearland, and The Woodlands. Your expertise will help shape the security infrastructure for commercial properties, ensuring they are well-protected and up to date with the latest security technology. In this role, you’ll find yourself at the heart of our operations, working closely with project teams to deliver high-quality security solutions.

Your Daily Tasks as a Security Alarm Installer

Install, Program, and Test Security Systems

Your primary responsibility will be to install, program, and test security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems. You’ll work in commercial new construction settings, where precision and attention to detail are crucial.

Run and Terminate Low-Voltage Wiring

You’ll handle the installation of low-voltage wiring for alarm components, ensuring that connections are secure and meet project specifications. This task requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of wiring protocols.

Conduct On-Site Troubleshooting

On-site troubleshooting and adjustments are part of your daily routine to optimize system performance. You’ll need to think on your feet to resolve any issues that arise and ensure the seamless operation of the security systems.

Train End-Users and Provide Ongoing Support

What You Need to Be a Security Alarm Installer

Experience and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience as a Security Alarm Installer. You’ll need a solid background in low-voltage security systems and wiring, as well as proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting access control and surveillance systems.
