Security Alarm Installer Position Overview

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include installing, programming, and testing state-of-the-art security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems. You will work in diverse environments, primarily focusing on commercial new construction sites. Your tasks will involve running and terminating low-voltage wiring and ensuring secure connections for alarm components.

Core Security Alarm Installer Responsibilities

  • Run and terminate low-voltage wiring for alarm components and ensure secure connections.
  • Conduct on-site troubleshooting and adjustments to optimize system performance.
  • Train end-users on operating security systems and provide ongoing support.

Qualifications

Essential Certifications

  • NICET certification in fire alarm systems (preferred).
  • BICSI certification for low-voltage installations (preferred).

Required Technical Knowledge
