Core Lead Security Technician Responsibilities
Installation and Commissioning
As a Lead Security Technician, you will spearhead the installation and commissioning of access control, intrusion detection, CCTV/IP surveillance, and intercom systems. You’ll ensure these systems are seamlessly integrated into commercial new construction projects.
Advanced Technical Duties
- Program sophisticated head-end security equipment, NVRs, card readers, and door hardware integrations.
- Conduct thorough final walk-throughs and turnover documentation for clients, ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Coordinate with IT departments and general contractors for network integration and structured cabling needs.
- Oversee compliance with electrical codes, site safety requirements, and client specifications.

Qualifications

- Advanced knowledge of commercial security systems like Lenel, Avigilon, Genetec, Bosch, and Honeywell.
- Proficiency in terminating and testing low-voltage security wiring.
- Strong familiarity with door hardware, relays, PoE configurations, and system networking.
Leadership and Certifications
Leadership experience is essential, requiring you to manage crews and interact with customers, inspectors, and engineers effectively. OSHA 30 certification is preferred, and you must be capable of producing redlines, as-builts, and commissioning reports.
