What Your Week Actually Looks Like

As a Lead Fire Alarm Technician at Prime Partners, you will be at the forefront of our large-scale commercial projects, guiding installations from pre-wire to the final inspection. You’ll program FACP systems, initiate and notification devices, and networked systems while ensuring compliance with NFPA 72 standards. Your role includes overseeing point-to-point testing and leading final acceptance testing alongside AHJs. Beyond the technical aspects, you’ll train and mentor junior technicians, delegate tasks, and supervise quality control. Collaboration is key in our projects, and you’ll work closely with general contractors, project managers, and fire marshals to ensure everything is up to code and on schedule. Detailed record-keeping for turnover packages and handling advanced troubleshooting are also part of your responsibilities.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

At Prime Partners, we’re looking for someone with substantial experience in commercial fire alarm systems, particularly with brands like EST, Notifier, Silent Knight, and Fire-Lite. While NICET Level II or higher is preferred, we value practical skills and a deep understanding of NFPA 70 and 72. You should be adept at reading complex electrical schematics and construction drawings. Strong leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to coordinate with teams and communicate effectively. If you have over 5 years in this field, a knack for managing crews, and can interact confidently with inspectors and clients, you might be the right fit.
