Your role involves leading a team, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all fire safety systems are effectively implemented and maintained.
Qualifications for Lead Fire Alarm Technician
- 5+ years of experience with commercial fire alarm systems
- Proficiency with EST, Notifier, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite
- NICET Level II or higher preferred
- Expert knowledge of NFPA 70 and 72
- Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and construction drawings
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Responsibilities for Lead Fire Alarm Technician
- Oversee fire alarm installations from pre-wire to final inspection
- Program FACP, initiate devices, and networked systems
- Conduct and supervise NFPA 72 compliance inspections
- Train and mentor junior technicians
- Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and fire marshals
- Prepare as-builts and maintain detailed installation records
- Handle troubleshooting and system upgrades
