Qualifications for Lead Fire Alarm Technician

• At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Fire Alarm Technician
• Proficient with commercial fire alarm systems, including EST, Notifier, Silent Knight, and Fire-Lite
• NICET Level II or higher preferred; expert knowledge of NFPA 70 and 72
• Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and construction drawings
• Strong leadership and communication skills; experience managing teams and client interactions

Responsibilities for Lead Fire Alarm Technician

• Lead and oversee fire alarm installations from pre-wire to final inspection
• Program and test fire alarm control panels, devices, and network systems
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 72 and conduct final acceptance testing with AHJs
• Train and mentor junior technicians, maintaining high-quality standards
• Collaborate with contractors and fire marshals to ensure project success and code compliance
• Prepare as-builts and maintain detailed records for project turnover
