What Your Week Actually Looks Like

At Prime Partners, you’ll step into a role where you truly make a difference on large-scale commercial job sites. Your week will consist of overseeing structured cabling projects from the initial pre-construction layout to the final certification. You’ll lead teams in pulling, routing, and terminating CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber optic cabling in MDFs/IDFs. Your expertise will shine as you terminate and label patch panels, jacks, and fiber enclosures, ensuring every project meets the highest standards. You’ll be the go-to person for testing and certifying all cabling using Fluke or equivalent test equipment. You will install cable management infrastructure, including ladder racks, cable trays, J-hooks, and conduit systems, all aligned with blueprint specifications. Coordination is key, and you’ll work closely with IT, electrical, and GC teams to align our low-voltage work with construction timelines. Maintaining QA/QC checklists and redlines for project documentation will ensure our continued excellence.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

At Prime Partners, we know that experience and practical skills trump paper qualifications. You’ll need proven experience in structured cabling leadership roles on commercial projects. Proficiency with BICSI installation methods, TIA/EIA standards, and Fluke DTX/DSX certification tools is essential. Your ability to read and mark up blueprints will be tested daily. Strong communication and team leadership skills are a must. Experience in fiber fusion splicing and OTDR is a plus. While OSHA 30 and manufacturer certifications (such as Panduit, Leviton, CommScope) are preferred, what we really value is your hands-on expertise and leadership qualities.
