Lead Cable Technician Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Cable Technician for Prime Partners in Murray, UT to manage long-term commercial projects. The ideal candidate will spearhead structured cabling initiatives, ensuring quality and efficiency from pre-construction to final certification. You’ll be crucial in maintaining the highest standards and coordinating with various teams to keep projects on track.
Qualifications for Lead Cable Technician
- Minimum of 4 years as a Lead Cable Technician
- Expertise in BICSI installation methods and TIA/EIA standards
- Proficiency with Fluke DTX/DSX certification tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Responsibilities for Lead Cable Technician
- Oversee structured cabling projects on large commercial sites
- Lead teams in the installation of CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber optic cabling
- Terminate, label, and test cabling using Fluke tools
- Install ladder racks, cable trays, and other infrastructure per blueprints
- Coordinate with IT, electrical, and GC teams to ensure project alignment
- Maintain QA/QC documentation and redlines
