Journeyman Electrician Position Overview

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Journeyman Electrician with Prime Partners, you will be tasked with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and industrial settings. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working on switchgear, transformers, lighting fixtures, and power circuits, ensuring that all installations meet NEC code requirements.

  • Wire Management: Perform wire pulling, labeling, and termination, ensuring neat and secure connections.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools like multimeters, ensuring circuits meet NEC code requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other trades to plan and execute electrical installations within construction schedules.
  • Supervision and Mentorship: Supervise apprentices and provide guidance on proper techniques and safety practices.
