What Your Week Actually Looks Like

Wire pulling, labeling, and termination will become second nature as you ensure everything meets NEC code requirements. Supervising apprentices is also key, guiding them on proper techniques and safety practices. And you’ll keep job sites organized and clean, sticking to safety and operational standards. What You’ll Need to Succeed

To thrive here, you’ll need a valid journeyman electrician license and a solid grasp of NEC codes. Experience – about 3-5 years – is important, but practical skills matter more than paper qualifications. You should be comfortable with conduit bending and using electrical tools, and have strong troubleshooting skills. Leadership is essential too, as you’ll be managing apprentices and working within teams. Personality-wise, being a problem-solver, having a good sense of humor, and being reliable go a long way in this role.
