Qualifications for Journeyman Electrician

• Experience and Licensing: Minimum of 5+ years as a Journeyman Electrician with a valid CA Department of Industrial Relations license.
• Technical Skills: Extensive experience in commercial electrical installations, including power systems, lighting, and controls. Proficient with specialized electrical tools and equipment.
• Leadership and Coordination: Ability to supervise apprentices and coordinate with multiple trades on construction sites.

Responsibilities for Journeyman Electrician

• System Installation: Plan, layout, and install electrical systems for commercial new construction projects, focusing on power distribution, lighting, and energy management systems.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, electrical schematics, and building plans to ensure precise installations.
• Conduit and Wiring: Install conduit systems (EMT, rigid, and flex), pull wire, and terminate connections for panels, switches, and outlets.
• Troubleshooting and Compliance: Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues while ensuring compliance with local, state, and national codes, maintaining OSHA safety standards.
