Core IT Systems Administrator Responsibilities
Comprehensive Infrastructure Management
- Maintain and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms (VMware), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and VoIP systems.
- Conduct daily system monitoring, patch management, user account administration, and backup/restore operations.
- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and security compliance across all commercial office and remote sites.
- Deploy and configure physical and virtual servers, assist with network troubleshooting, and support cloud integrations.
Advanced Technical Duties
- Implement advanced security protocols to protect sensitive data across all systems.
- Develop and optimize scripts for automated system maintenance and monitoring.
- Manage and configure network firewalls and security appliances to ensure robust protection.
- Lead technical evaluations and audits for regional projects in Goodyear and Avondale.
Safety and Compliance Protocols
Adhere to strict safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment. Participate actively in disaster recovery testing and ensure all systems are compliant with industry standards.
Qualifications
Essential Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 4 years experience as an IT Systems Administrator.
- Extensive experience managing Windows Server environments, VMware, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with VoIP systems such as ShoreTel or similar platforms.
- Proficient in Linux administration, scripting (PowerShell or Bash), and backup/recovery platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to manage medium-scale commercial environments and collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
Certifications and Technical Knowledge
- Essential certifications: CompTIA Network+, VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
