What You’ll Do as a Fire Alarm Technician

As a Fire Alarm Technician at Prime Partners, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring safety and compliance on our multi-year project in Sahuarita, AZ. Our ongoing projects in Sahuarita, as well as in neighboring cities like Green Valley, Tucson, and Vail, require keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. You’ll be working on a variety of commercial new constructions, bringing your expertise to ensure each site is equipped with reliable fire safety systems.

Your Daily Tasks as a Fire Alarm Technician

As a Fire Alarm Technician, your day will kick off with installing and programming fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, strobes, and other critical system components. You will be responsible for comprehensive system testing, verification, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with both local and national fire safety standards. Your role involves close collaboration with general contractors and other trades, making sure that system installations are timely and efficient.

In addition to these core activities, you’ll also:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of existing fire safety systems to ensure ongoing compliance and functionality.
  • Provide training and support to building occupants and facility managers on the operation of fire alarm systems.
  • Document and report any issues or irregularities found during inspections and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

What You Need to Be a Fire Alarm Technician
