What You’ll Do as a Fire Alarm Technician

Your role will be integral to the seamless operation and implementation of fire safety systems in commercial new construction projects. Your daily work life will involve a hands-on approach to installing, programming, and maintaining fire alarm systems, ensuring that all components work flawlessly to protect lives and property.
Your Daily Tasks as a Fire Alarm Technician
Your responsibilities will include installing and programming fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, strobes, and other essential system components. You’ll conduct system testing, verification, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with both local and national fire safety standards. Collaborating closely with general contractors and other trades, you’ll coordinate the timely installation of systems, ensuring that projects remain on schedule and within scope. Maintaining accurate records of all installations, inspections, and repairs will also be a critical part of your role.
