Your Daily Tasks as a Fire Alarm Technician

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will start your day by reviewing project plans and blueprints to understand the fire alarm system requirements for each site. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Installation and Programming: You’ll be responsible for installing and programming fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, strobes, and other system components for commercial new construction projects.

• System Testing and Verification: Conducting thorough testing and verification of fire alarm systems to ensure they meet both local and national fire safety standards is crucial. You’ll use specialized equipment to perform these tests and document your findings accurately.

• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identifying and resolving any issues with fire alarm systems promptly is key. You’ll use your technical expertise to troubleshoot problems and perform necessary repairs efficiently.
