What You’ll Do as a Fire Alarm Technician
As a Fire Alarm Technician at Prime Partners, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our commercial construction projects in Apopka, FL, and neighboring areas like Altamonte Springs, Winter Garden, and Ocoee. Your work will directly contribute to the protection of lives and property by installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems. Our multi-year project in Apopka requires skilled technicians who are ready to face daily challenges head-on and collaborate effectively with our team.
Your Daily Tasks as a Fire Alarm Technician
Your day-to-day activities will include installing and programming fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, strobes, and other critical system components on our commercial new construction sites. You’ll conduct system testing, verification, and troubleshooting to ensure all installations meet stringent local and national fire safety standards.
In addition to these core tasks, you’ll:
- Coordinate closely with general contractors and other trades to ensure timely and efficient system installations.
- Maintain detailed records of all installations, inspections, and repairs to ensure compliance and accountability.
- Perform regular maintenance checks and upgrades to existing systems to ensure ongoing functionality and safety.
You’ll also be required to work with blueprints and schematics to plan and execute installations accurately, and regularly update your knowledge of the latest fire safety technologies and regulations to keep our projects ahead of industry standards.
What You Need to Be a Fire Alarm Technician
To excel in this role, you’ll need a solid background in installing and maintaining fire alarm systems, with a strong emphasis on programming and testing. Key qualifications include:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.

Compensation
