Your Daily Tasks as a Fire Alarm Installer

As a Fire Alarm Installer, you’ll be hands-on every day, working to achieve reliable and high-quality installations. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Installing Fire Alarm Systems: Set up fire alarm systems in various high-density commercial and industrial buildings. Your work will involve running conduit and pulling fire-rated cables to support the system installations.

  • Mounting and Connecting Equipment: You’ll be responsible for mounting and connecting control panels, notification devices, smoke detectors, and heat sensors, ensuring each component is securely and correctly installed.

  • Conducting Functional Testing: Perform thorough functional testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they meet Michigan building codes and safety regulations. This includes calibrating and fine-tuning systems for optimal performance.

  • Collaborating with Other Contractors: Work closely with HVAC and sprinkler contractors to seamlessly integrate fire alarm systems into the overall building safety networks.

  • Repair and Maintenance: Quickly diagnose and repair or replace faulty components to maintain system reliability and functionality.

What You Need to Be a Fire Alarm Installer
