Fire Alarm Installer Position Overview

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Fire Alarm Installer on our team, you will engage in the meticulous installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems. Core Fire Alarm Installer Responsibilities

Key Installation and Maintenance Duties

Your primary duties will include installing fire alarm control panels and devices, pulling and terminating fire alarm cables, and mounting notification appliances and initiation devices. You will also assist with system programming and testing to ensure functionality and safety.

Advanced Technical Duties

Advanced responsibilities include configuring complex networked systems, integrating fire alarms with other building safety systems, and conducting detailed diagnostics to troubleshoot and resolve system issues. You will also be expected to maintain comprehensive point-to-point wiring documentation.

Regional Project Specifics and Safety Protocols

In the Anthem area, you’ll tackle projects that require coordination with other trades to ensure proper device placement and successful completion of the pre-wire and trim-out phases. Adhering to strict safety protocols, you will perform regular inspections and ensure compliance with regional safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience and Proficiency Requirements

Candidates must possess significant experience with commercial fire alarm systems, a keen understanding of NFPA 72 requirements, and proficiency in blueprint reading. Basic programming skills, along with the ability to use a multimeter and other testing equipment, are essential.

Essential Certifications
