Electrical Project Manager Position Overview

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As an Electrical Project Manager, your day will be filled with strategic planning, coordination, and execution of electrical projects. Core Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to guide project execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget, maintaining alignment with client objectives.

Coordination and Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, general contractors, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Resolve any issues promptly and maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders.

Technical Oversight

  • Review and approve electrical designs, submittals, and material orders, ensuring compliance with local codes and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, and ensure quality workmanship.

Advanced Technical Duties

  • Implement advanced project management software to optimize efficiency and track project milestones.
  • Utilize expertise in regional electrical requirements to tailor solutions that meet local codes and standards.

Safety Protocols

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, conducting regular safety training and audits to minimize risks on-site.

Qualifications

Experience and Expertise

  • Minimum of 5 years as an Electrical Project Manager, with a proven track record in managing commercial projects from inception to completion.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and regional codes.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore or Primavera P6.
  • Essential certifications: PMP, OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety, and NEC Certification.

Skills
