What You’ll Do as an Electrical Project Manager

As an Electrical Project Manager at Prime Partners, based in Annapolis, MD, you will be spearheading critical electrical projects in the region. Our current long-term project in Annapolis requires your expertise to ensure seamless operations and project success. You will also have the opportunity to work on additional projects in the surrounding areas, including Edgewater, Arnold, and Severna Park. Your role is pivotal in coordinating and managing every facet of our industrial electrical projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Your Daily Tasks as an Electrical Project Manager

Oversee Project Execution

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing all aspects of our industrial electrical projects. This includes monitoring timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure smooth project execution. You will be tasked with analyzing comprehensive project outlines to create detailed schedules and staffing plans that align with project goals.

Manage Financial and Resource Aspects

A crucial part of your daily routine will include managing financial elements such as payroll, equipment costs, and material expenses. You will coordinate purchasing efforts and negotiate sub-contracts to ensure optimal resource allocation. This involves liaising with vendors and suppliers to secure the best deals and maintain the project’s budgetary constraints.

Collaborate and Communicate

You will work closely with construction superintendents to handle daily operational tasks. Maintaining accurate records, including RFIs, project submissions, and updates, will be key to ensuring transparency and clear communication across all teams. Proactively addressing risks and challenges to keep projects on schedule and within budget is an essential part of your role.

Ensure Compliance and Quality

Your role also involves ensuring that all projects comply with industry standards and regulations. This includes conducting regular site inspections to verify that work is progressing according to plan and quality standards are being met.

What You Need to Be an Electrical Project Manager

Experience and Expertise

To excel as an Electrical Project Manager, you should have over 5 years of experience in managing electrical projects within industrial settings, such as water recycling facilities or power plants. Your hands-on experience in this field will be crucial in driving project success.

Essential Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam software is essential. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are a must, as you will be leading diverse teams and coordinating with various stakeholders. Familiarity with construction engineering codes and practices is necessary, along with the ability to create detailed project timelines and ensure team efficiency.

Industry Knowledge

A sound knowledge of industry standards and innovative management strategies will be advantageous in ensuring our projects meet both client and regulatory expectations.

Compensation

Competitive Salary and Benefits
