Core Data Center Technician Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Installation: Accurately install and configure data center infrastructure, including servers, cabling, and power distribution units, ensuring all components align with project specifications.
- Routine Maintenance and Testing: Execute regular maintenance schedules and perform rigorous testing to guarantee the reliability and efficiency of critical systems.
- Cable Management and Airflow Optimization: Manage intricate cable systems and optimize airflow to enhance cooling efficiency, contributing to the overall performance of the data center.
- Documentation and Coordination: Meticulously document configurations, system changes, and performance metrics, maintaining clear and precise project records. Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure data center setups meet both operational requirements and industry standards.
Advanced Technical Duties
- Implement advanced network configurations and troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Conduct performance analysis and provide recommendations for system enhancements.
- Develop and refine disaster recovery protocols and procedures.

Qualifications
Essential Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Center Technician, with a proven track record of successful installations and maintenance.
- Proficiency in data center hardware, cabling, and power systems, with a deep understanding of reliability and efficiency best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in high-pressure environments.
Certifications
- CompTIA Server+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- BICSI Technician Certification
