This role is critical to the successful installation and maintenance of our structured cabling systems, ensuring seamless communication and connectivity for our clients. Your Daily Tasks as a Cable Technician
Installation and Maintenance
Your primary responsibility will be to install, test, and troubleshoot a variety of structured cabling systems, including CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optic cables, across vibrant commercial environments. You’ll perform cable terminations on patch panels, jacks, and network devices, ensuring each connection meets industry standards.
Testing and Troubleshooting
You’ll conduct thorough cable testing and certification using industry-standard tools to guarantee performance and compliance with all regulations. Precision and attention to detail are key as you work to maintain the integrity of our network systems.
Pathway Installation
Installation of cable pathways such as conduits, raceways, and J-hooks will be a regular part of your duties. You’ll follow safety codes and interpret blueprints to ensure safe and efficient installations.

What You Need to Be a Cable Technician
Experience and Skills
