Qualifications for Cable Technician
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Cable Technician
- Proficient in structured cabling installations and troubleshooting
- Skilled in cable testing, termination, and certification procedures
- Ability to interpret blueprints and work on active commercial construction sites
Responsibilities for Cable Technician
- Install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems in commercial environments
- Perform cable terminations on patch panels, jacks, and network devices
- Conduct comprehensive cable testing and certification using industry-standard tools
- Install cable pathways such as conduits, raceways, and J-hooks according to safety codes and blueprints
- Collaborate closely with project managers and clients to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
