Prime Partners is urgently seeking a dedicated Cable Technician for long-term projects in Redwood City, CA. As a Cable Technician, you will be instrumental in installing, testing, and maintaining structured cabling systems within commercial environments. Your expertise will support the seamless operation of our construction projects, ensuring that all cabling infrastructure meets high standards of quality and compliance.
Qualifications for Cable Technician
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Cable Technician
- Expertise in structured cabling installations and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in cable testing, termination, and certification procedures
- Ability to interpret blueprints and work effectively on active commercial construction sites
Responsibilities for Cable Technician
- Install, test, and troubleshoot CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optic cable systems
- Perform cable terminations on patch panels, jacks, and network devices
- Conduct cable testing and certification using industry-standard tools
- Install cable pathways, including conduits, raceways, and J-hooks, following safety codes
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to meet project deadlines and quality standards
