Qualifications for Cable Technician

• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years as a Cable Technician.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in structured cabling installation, troubleshooting, cable testing, termination, and certification procedures.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work efficiently on active commercial construction sites.

Responsibilities for Cable Technician

• Cabling Systems: Install, test, and troubleshoot CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling systems.
• Cable Termination: Perform terminations on patch panels, jacks, and network devices.
• Testing & Certification: Conduct thorough cable testing and certification using industry-standard tools to ensure network performance and compliance.
• Installation: Construct cable pathways including conduits, raceways, and J-hooks, adhering to safety codes and blueprints.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and clients to meet deadlines and uphold high-quality standards.
