Qualifications for Cable Technician

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cable Technician
• Hands-on experience with structured cabling installations and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in cable testing, termination, and certification procedures
• Ability to interpret blueprints and work in active commercial construction sites

Responsibilities for Cable Technician

• Install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems, including CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optic cables, in commercial environments
• Perform cable terminations on patch panels, jacks, and network devices
• Conduct cable testing and certification using industry-standard tools to ensure performance and compliance
• Install cable pathways such as conduits, raceways, and J-hooks, following safety codes and blueprints
• Work closely with project managers and clients to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
