What You’ll Do as a Cable Puller

As a Cable Puller at Prime Partners, you’ll be an essential part of our team working on multi-year projects in South Bend, IN, with additional opportunities in nearby cities like Mishawaka, Elkhart, and Goshen. Your role involves the day-to-day handling of low-voltage cables crucial for commercial construction projects. You’ll be at the forefront of laying the foundation for robust communication infrastructures. We keep it straightforward here—your job is hands-on and vital for the success of our projects.

Your Daily Tasks as a Cable Puller

Your daily routine will include pulling, routing, and securing low-voltage cables such as CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optics. You’ll assist in labeling and organizing cables to ensure proper connections are made, which is crucial for the integrity of our installations. Preparing work areas will be part of your tasks, requiring you to set up ladders, tools, and materials efficiently. You’ll follow installation diagrams to create cable pathways using conduits, trays, and raceways. Keeping the job site clean and adhering to safety regulations is non-negotiable.

Additional tasks include testing cables to ensure they are functioning correctly and assisting senior technicians with troubleshooting any issues that arise. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining inventory of tools and materials, ensuring everything needed is on hand and in good condition. Your role is not just about pulling cables but being a part of a team that ensures our projects are completed to the highest standard.

What You Need to Be a Cable Puller

To succeed as a Cable Puller, you’ll need a basic understanding of low-voltage cabling systems. A strong work ethic is key, as is the ability to follow detailed instructions. Compensation
