As a Cable Puller at Prime Partners, you’ll play a critical role in our commercial construction projects in Medford, OR, and nearby cities like Ashland, Grants Pass, and Central Point. Your day-to-day tasks will be hands-on and integral to ensuring our projects stay on track. You’ll be part of a dedicated team working on multi-year projects that are vital to the development of the region’s infrastructure.

Your Daily Tasks as a Cable Puller

You’ll start your day by gathering all necessary tools and reviewing the project plans. Your main task will involve pulling, routing, and securing low-voltage cables such as CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optics to ensure seamless connectivity in commercial buildings. In addition to this, you’ll be responsible for labeling and organizing cables meticulously to match the project’s specifications and to facilitate easy maintenance in the future.

Setting up ladders, tools, and materials will be a part of your routine as you prepare the work area for efficient execution of tasks. Following precise installation diagrams, you’ll create cable pathways using conduits, trays, and raceways, ensuring that all installations are up to code. A significant part of your role will also involve maintaining a safe and clean job site, adhering to all safety regulations, and promptly reporting any safety hazards to your supervisor.

Additional tasks include testing cable systems to verify proper installation and function, assisting in troubleshooting and problem-solving any issues that arise during the installation process, and coordinating with other team members to ensure seamless workflow and project completion.
