What You’ll Do as a Cable Puller
As a Cable Puller at Prime Partners, you’ll be a crucial part of our team working on a multi-year project in La Porte, IN, with additional opportunities in nearby cities such as Michigan City, Westville, and Rolling Prairie. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the seamless installation of low-voltage cables, which are essential for the functionality of our commercial construction projects. This role demands a hands-on, practical approach, where your main focus will be on the day-to-day tasks that keep our projects running smoothly and on schedule.
Your Daily Tasks as a Cable Puller
As a Cable Puller, your daily activities will include pulling, routing, and securing low-voltage cables such as CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optics. You’ll assist in labeling and organizing these cables to guarantee proper connections and system functionality. Preparing your work area by setting up ladders, tools, and materials will be part of your routine, ensuring each site is ready for efficient cable installation.
You’ll follow detailed installation diagrams to create cable pathways using conduits, trays, and raceways, maintaining a keen eye on accuracy and detail. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for testing the cables to ensure they meet quality standards and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Keeping the job site safe and clean while adhering to all safety regulations is a fundamental aspect of your role, ensuring not only your safety but also that of your colleagues.
What You Need to Be a Cable Puller
