What You’ll Do as a Cable Puller

As a Cable Puller, you’ll be essential in ensuring that our construction projects run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve hands-on tasks that are crucial to the success of our multi-year projects, focusing on installing and maintaining low-voltage cabling systems that keep businesses connected.

Your Daily Tasks as a Cable Puller

As a Cable Puller, your day starts with preparing your work area. You’ll set up ladders, gather tools, and organize materials to ensure you’re ready for the day’s demands. Your primary responsibility is to pull, route, and secure low-voltage cables, including CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optics, throughout commercial construction sites. You’ll assist in labeling and organizing these cables to guarantee proper connections and functionality.

You’ll follow detailed installation diagrams to create cable pathways using conduits, trays, and raceways. Safety is paramount, so you’ll maintain a clean job site and adhere to all safety regulations. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting in testing and troubleshooting cable systems to ensure they meet technical specifications.
• Collaborating with team members to efficiently complete tasks and solve problems on site.
• Participating in daily safety meetings and reporting any potential hazards to the foreman.

What You Need to Be a Cable Puller

To succeed as a Cable Puller with Prime Partners, you’ll need a basic understanding of low-voltage cabling systems. A strong work ethic and the ability to follow detailed instructions are crucial. You’ll be performing physically demanding tasks, so you must have the ability to lift equipment and work in confined spaces comfortably.

While previous experience isn’t required, having 0-1 years in the field as a Cable Puller is beneficial. Essential skills include:
