Apprentice Electrician Position Overview

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As an Apprentice Electrician with Prime Partners, your daily tasks will include assisting journeyman electricians in installing wiring, conduits, and electrical fixtures across our commercial construction projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience in environments ranging from new builds to renovations, ensuring each project meets our high standards of quality and safety.

Core Apprentice Electrician Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of wiring systems, conduits, and electrical fixtures.
• Safely pull and terminate wire runs, and set up temporary power systems on site.
• Follow and interpret blueprints to install electrical infrastructure accurately.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs under supervision.
• Maintain an organized workspace and manage tools and materials efficiently.
• Adhere strictly to safety practices and regulations on active construction sites.

Advanced Technical Duties

• Install and test advanced electrical systems, including smart lighting and energy management systems.
• Use specialized testing equipment to ensure system integrity and functionality.
• Assist with the integration of solar panel systems into existing electrical infrastructure.
• Work on projects specific to the Half Moon Bay region, such as coastal and environmental adaptations.

Safety Protocols

• Strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Participate in regular safety training sessions.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A valid Electrical Trainee Card from the California Department of Industrial Relations.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Apprentice Electrician.

• Physical ability to work in various construction environments, including climbing ladders and lifting equipment.
• Essential certifications, including CPR and First Aid.
