Apprentice Electrician Position Overview

Day-to-Day Responsibilities of an Apprentice Electrician

As an Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners, you will be actively engaged in a variety of tasks each day. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the installation of electrical systems, running and securing conduit, pulling and terminating wiring, and helping with the installation of control systems for HVAC, security, and automated doors. You will prepare work areas efficiently, ensuring tools and materials are organized and readily accessible. Additionally, you will follow blueprints and detailed instructions to support lighting installations and equipment wiring.

Core Apprentice Electrician Responsibilities

Installation and Technical Duties

• Assist in installing electrical systems for large-scale retail and warehouse facilities.
• Run and secure conduit (EMT and PVC) under the guidance of journeymen.
• Pull, terminate, and label wiring for lighting and power circuits.
• Help install and test control systems for HVAC, security, and automated doors.
• Prepare work areas by organizing tools, equipment, and materials for efficient operations.
• Follow blueprints and detailed instructions to assist with lighting installations and equipment wiring.
• Learn to troubleshoot basic issues in electrical circuits and control systems.
