Apprentice Electrician Position Overview
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As an Apprentice Electrician with Prime Partners, you will engage in a variety of tasks that form the backbone of our operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting in the installation of electrical systems, troubleshooting basic wiring issues, and supporting our senior electricians in complex tasks. You will gain exposure to a wide array of projects, from rooftop solar installations to the integration of battery systems and EV chargers on commercial properties.

Core Apprentice Electrician Responsibilities
Installation Support
- Assist in the installation of rooftop solar arrays, battery systems, and EV chargers on commercial properties.
- Run and secure conduit for DC wiring from solar modules to inverters.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, such as terminating PV modules and connecting battery storage systems.
Advanced Technical Duties
- Learn to test and troubleshoot solar inverters and monitoring systems under supervision.
- Coordinate material preparation, including pre-assembling racking systems and ensuring tools are organized.
- Support in designing and implementing energy-efficient lighting systems in commercial settings.
Regional Project Specifics
- Engage in projects tailored to the unique needs of Detroit and its surrounding areas, focusing on sustainable energy solutions.
Safety Protocols
- Follow rigorous safety procedures for rooftop work, including the use of fall protection equipment.

Qualifications
- 1-4 years minimum experience as an Apprentice Electrician.
