Your Daily Tasks as an Application Support Specialist

Each day as an Application Support Specialist is dynamic and engaging. You’ll serve as the first line of defense for any application hiccups, handling support for our ERP, CRM, and HRIS platforms. Your main tasks will include:

  • Responding promptly to user inquiries through various channels such as phone, email, and ticketing systems like Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Diagnosing and resolving software issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
  • Documenting every support activity meticulously, detailing troubleshooting steps and solutions to build a comprehensive support knowledge base.
  • Escalating complex technical issues to the right internal teams while ensuring the user is kept in the loop until resolution.
  • Assisting in onboarding new users by configuring permissions and providing application training.
  • Collaborating closely with developers and business analysts to facilitate application updates and new functionality rollouts.

Additionally, you’ll be involved in routine system maintenance, conducting application performance checks, and proactively identifying potential issues before they arise. Your hands-on approach in these areas ensures the smooth operation of our software systems, essential for maintaining productivity across our projects.

What You Need to Be an Application Support Specialist
