Position Overview at MMR Group
The Low Voltage Cable Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage cable systems in healthcare facilities in Watkinsville, GA, and surrounding areas. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of cable installation and maintenance procedures, focusing on ensuring reliable communication and data systems within healthcare environments.
Essential Functions for Low Voltage Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables, including fiber optic and copper systems, in healthcare facilities.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of cable systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other technicians and project managers to plan and execute cable installation projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low voltage cable systems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations during all phases of project execution.
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage Cable Technician at MMR Group
- 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cable installation and maintenance.
- Fiber Optic Certification is required.
- Proficiency with Punch Down Tools and Termination Equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, and work in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI Technician certification is an advantage.
- Experience with specialized Fiber Optic Tools.
- Previous experience working in healthcare facilities is desirable.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Watkinsville, GA
- Additional locations: Athens, Bogart, Bishop, and Monroe, GA
- Schedule: Full-time
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28.53-$33.71 per hour
