Position Overview at MMR Group
As a Low Voltage Cable Technician at MMR Group, based in Flowery Branch, GA, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems in educational institutions. This role involves working on a variety of projects in Flowery Branch and neighboring cities, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards and client specifications.
Essential Functions for Low Voltage Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables, including fiber optic and copper cables.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to complete installations on time.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage Cable Technician at MMR Group
- 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Network+ Certification.
- Proficiency with cable testers and fiber optic tools.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Technician.
- Experience with termination equipment and advanced cable management systems.
- Specialized experience in educational institution projects.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in cable installation.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Flowery Branch, GA.
- Additional locations: Gainesville, Oakwood, Buford, and Braselton, GA.
- Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime based on project needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28.52-$34.29 per hour.
