Key Responsibilities

• Design and install complete electrical systems for large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes.
• Calculate load requirements and optimize power distribution for efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate with BIM (Building Information Modeling) teams to ensure accurate implementation of electrical systems in construction plans.
• Supervise installation crews to maintain high standards of workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
• Implement advanced lighting control systems, integrating with building automation for energy efficiency.
• Manage project material logistics to ensure timely delivery and availability of resources.
• Perform system commissioning to verify that all electrical installations meet design specifications and operational requirements.
• Install and maintain emergency power systems, ensuring reliable backup during power outages.
• Coordinate with mechanical trades to facilitate smooth integration of electrical components with HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Program building automation interfaces to enhance building performance and user comfort.
• Mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and training to support their professional development.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Journeyman electrical license, with a strong foundation in commercial electrical systems.
• 0-3 years of experience required for Apprentice work in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency in BIM coordination to ensure accurate integration of electrical systems into construction models.
• Expertise in advanced lighting controls and building automation systems.
• Proven project management skills to oversee complex installations from inception to completion.
• Certification for operating multiple lift types, ensuring safety and efficiency in high-rise projects.
• Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire team members.
• Knowledge of energy codes and commitment to sustainable building practices.
• Demonstrated safety management skills, with a track record of maintaining safe work environments.
• Familiarity with regional construction practices and codes in the St. Charles area.
• Ability to travel between sites in St. Charles and neighboring cities as required.
