Mirapath is seeking a motivated Commercial Apprentice to join our dynamic team in Overland Park, KS. This role involves supporting our Lead Commercial Electricians in delivering high-quality electrical solutions for large-scale construction projects across Overland Park and neighboring cities such as Olathe, Lenexa, and Shawnee. As a Commercial Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience and develop skills essential to your career growth in the electrical trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and installation of complete electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Calculate load requirements and support BIM teams in creating accurate electrical models.
• Support the supervision of installation crews, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
• Implement lighting control systems to enhance energy efficiency in commercial buildings.
• Manage project material logistics, ensuring timely delivery and inventory management.
• Assist in system commissioning and testing to verify performance and safety.
• Install emergency power systems, ensuring reliable backup power solutions.
• Coordinate with mechanical trades to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
• Program building automation interfaces for efficient operation and control.
• Mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Stay updated on regional electrical codes and standards specific to the Overland Park area.
• Participate in the upcoming Meadowbrook Mixed-Use Development project, a significant venture in Overland Park that will require meticulous electrical planning and execution.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a Journeyman electrical license or working towards obtaining one.
• Experience with BIM coordination and familiarity with the latest modeling tools.
• Expertise in lighting controls and energy-efficient solutions.
• Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Certification for operating various lift types and equipment.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on safety and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of energy codes, ensuring compliance with Overland Park regulations.
• Proficiency with building automation systems, enhancing building performance.
• Demonstrable safety management skills, adhering to OSHA standards and local safety protocols.
