Role Overview

As a Healthcare Commercial Electrician at McCall Electric, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial settings, with a particular focus on healthcare facilities. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical installations are performed to the highest standards in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This position requires a keen attention to detail, a robust understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to work effectively within a team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements for Healthcare Commercial Electrician

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial environments, with a focus on healthcare facilities.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Required Certifications:

  • OSHA 30
  • Lift Certification

• Experience With:

  • First Aid/CPR
  • Arc Flash Training
  • Power Tools (Milwaukee, DeWalt)

• Typical Projects:

  • Office Buildings
  • Retail Centers
  • Hospitals
  • Schools

• Experience and Licensing:

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience.
  • Valid electrical license for SC.
  • Experience with First Aid/CPR and Arc Flash Training.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

• Safety Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
  • Ability to recognize and mitigate potential hazards.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Power Tools (Milwaukee, DeWalt).
• Prior experience working on commercial projects, especially in healthcare settings.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Summerville, SC
• Neighboring Cities: North Charleston, Ladson, Goose Creek, and Hanahan.
• Schedule: Full-time

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $34.58 - $38.50 per hour, depending on experience.
