Security Technician at M3 Technology

M3 Technology, located in Carmel, IN, is seeking a Security Technician to join our team. Our focus is on delivering top-notch data center infrastructure solutions in Carmel and the surrounding areas such as Fishers, Westfield, and Noblesville. This position is integral to our operations, ensuring that our cabling and security systems meet the highest standards in critical facility environments. The role will involve working on high-profile projects, including the upcoming Carmel Data Center Expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and certify structured cabling systems and perform fiber optic terminations and testing.
• Implement data center cable management solutions and coordinate pathway installations.
• Maintain clean room protocols and operate cable certification equipment.
• Install overhead cable tray systems and document testing results and warranties.
• Perform high-density rack cabling and maintain separation in hot aisle/cold aisle environments.
• Ensure compliance with data center standards and regional requirements for Indiana.
• Oversee security system installations specific to the Carmel area, including the upcoming Carmel Data Center Expansion.
• Work with local teams to ensure seamless integration of security and data systems.

Required Qualifications

• BICSI Installer 1 certification required.
• Demonstrated experience with structured cabling systems and proficiency in fiber optic installation.
• Expertise with cable testing equipment and knowledge of data center infrastructure.
• Experience with documentation systems and understanding of TIA standards.
• Proven technical documentation skills and ability to read and create cable drawings.
• 1-3 years of experience required for security work in a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with Indiana’s local building codes and security regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate project needs in the Carmel area.
